Position Description
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an Ensemble Developer to join our team in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities:

:

  • Develop functionality using Ensemble, Object Script and Cache which includes requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation, and testing
  • Assist operations with support
  • Deploy application to development and test environment
  • Ability to create high level and detailed estimates
  • Clear written and oral communication with team members and other teams
  • Follow teams process for development
  • Make suggestions on how to improve process
  • Must be willing to learn new languages, technologies and platforms

    Required Skills:
  • The candidate must have at least 5 years overall application development experience in distributed systems environments which must include the following:
  • Object-oriented design and development
  • .Net, Java or C# development
  • Candidate must also have at least 3 years experience with using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2
  • Candidate must possess strong SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases
  • Candidate must be open minded and willing to learn new tools and skills
  • Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work directly with client business personnel and remote teams to gather and clarify requirements and communicate matters of significant importance
  • Candidate must also have significant experience in every phase of the software development life cycle and be able to document requirements, perform analysis, provide design, perform coding, perform unit testing, perform implementation, provide post-production application support, and perform project/task estimation
  • Candidate should be willing to take on more responsibilities as their skills grow
  • Must be willing to become mentor
  • Candidate should have some exposure to design patterns

    Desired Skills:
  • Candidate should have a good understanding of the issues, tools, and procedures related to managing software version control and migration across environments; specific SVN experience would be a plus
  • Working knowledge of at least several of the following tools/technologies would be beneficial: Intersystems Cache, Object Script, and Ensemble
  • UML experience with class and interaction diagrams
  • HL7 experience, preferably with ADT/DFT
  • HIPAA EDI experience, preferably with 835 and 837
  • Interface Engine experience desire Ensemble
  • Object oriented database experience preferably Cache
  • Object to relational database tool experience a plus like Hibernate, Toplink, or IBatis

    Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, MIS, or Computer Science

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • Ensemble, Java or C# certifications would be a plus
