Perot Systems Corporationa worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients, is currently looking for a Business Intelligence Principal Consultant to join our Consulting Team.

*No relocation is required, but the ability to travel up to 100% is necessary. WORK LOCATION VIRTUAL: can reside anywhere in the US near a major airport.

Responsibilities:

The role of consultant will be to lead or be a senior team member of a Business Intelligence project from the initial design and discovery phase through the project implementation and support. Typically, the Principal Consultant works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant in the development of technical or business solutions within the consulting practice area. A candidate would be expected to work under moderate supervision, on projects of average difficulty, usually involving single products or single platforms and multiple BI tools. In addition, the consultant would need to be able to analyze customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing infrastructure and applies principles, concepts and techniques of skills in developing solutions and strategies as they relate to Business Intelligence. Strong interpersonal and technical skills are required by the candidate in order to successfully deliver a BI project. The candidate would be expected to interact with company and client managers and identify additional solutions in client organization. In addition, a principal consultant should be able to serve as a pre-sales support BI specialist through the development of materials when needed in support of more senior consultants. Performance is typically measured by deliverables and/or solutions within budgeted hours.

Required Skills:

Qualified candidates must have at least 5-8 years related experience in the Business Intelligence space

Must understand and demonstrate core Business Intelligence principles and methodologies

Must have participated in at least 3 full successful life cycle Business Intelligence implementations / projects

Must have SAP BI/BW experience with either 3.x versions or 2004s BI 7.0, preferably both

Must understand core SAP ECC process and reporting concepts and understand how to build or tie into an existing BI strategy

Must have experience with the Business Objects toolset, specifically as it relates to an SAP project

Must understand how to integrate data from multiple sources systems, including legacy systems with SAP

Ideally the candidate will have experience or exposure to Universe Design and Data Acquisition such as Business Objects Data Services tools

Experience with Business Objects enterprise and Business Objects Visualization tools such as Xcelisus, Webi, Crystal is a plus

Must have strong ETL experience in extracting data from SAP, extraction from non SAP systems are a plus

Able to independently analyze customer requirements to architect, design, and build a comprehensive data warehouse infrastructure

Must have a strong understanding of BI project methodology as well as strong understanding of all aspects of the BI implementation lifecycle

Must be able to conduct report design sessions to translate and configure business reports to meet customer needs

Must be able to independently hold workshops with key business users during all phases of the project to ensure client requirements are being met in the new solution

Must have strong integration skills and be able to integrate different types of data from SAP as well as other systems

Must have a good grasp of project and program management methods and tools

Strong core consulting skills excellent communication, organization and planning, client facing and interpersonal

A minimum of 2 full life cycle SAP implementations as the lead BI expert

Experienced in scoping, requirements gathering/definition, configuration, testing, cutover and support

Well-developed system problem solving skills having solved complex business problems within or across functional areas in BI

Experience with large implementations and integrating into mature data warehouses

Desired Skills:

BI ABAP and Object Oriented ABAP experience a plus
Netweaver 2004s, Business Explorer package, Visual Composer, Web Application

Developer experience a plus

Business Objects, Business Objects Enterprise, Universe Design, Data Services, Xcelisus, Webi, Crystal

Experience with other BI toolsets and packages is a plus (e.g. Hyperion, Cognos, Informatics, etc.)

Experience in other areas such as Portals, Sharepoint and Adobe are a plus

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Bachelors degree preferred

Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:

SAP certification a plus
